The Best Caffitaly Coffee Machines of 2021 – Our Top 3 Picks

As someone who now spends a lot more time working from home, I was determined to find a coffee machine that would give me the quality of coffee I used to enjoy from my favorite coffee shop. In fact, finding the right coffee machine became something of an obsession!

Now there are many different capsule coffee systems on the market. While most people are familiar with Nespresso, alternatives such as Dolce Gusto, Caffitaly, and Lavazza also hold a strong market share.

In this article we’re going to look at the best options in the Caffitaly range of machines to suit your needs.

Caffitaly manufacturers a range of coffee machines in various shapes and sizes, Machines that feature a range of automated functions and beautiful designs to enhance the look of your kitchen. But of course, the most important feature is the quality of the coffee that is produced.

Why buy a Caffitaly Capsule Coffee Machine?

Caffitaly systems are designed around one simple principle, making coffee to the same standard as a barista, with the convenience of a simple to operate machine that will suit your lifestyle. Whichever system you choose; you will find that Caffitaly offers one-touch solutions. In this article, I thought I would share some of the things I learned about these machines.

Caffitaly capsules hold more coffee than a Nespresso pod, yet cost less per serve. How’s that for a win? They are also available in every Woolworths and Countdown supermarket across Australia and New Zealand, making them super accessible. When drinking Nespresso I always feel like I’m paying a premium for a well marketed product, but with Caffitaly I feel like I’m getting a good balance between quality and price.

Those are just some of the reasons I chose the Caffitaly system, but, when it comes to choosing a coffee machine, which one should you buy?

Factors to Consider

The Pods

Caffitaly have their own brand of pods, but there are also many third party manufactures offering a plethora of flavors, blends, and environmentally sustainable packaging.

I found that machines with a 1 liter or 1.2-liter water capacity were just fine for my needs and I suspect would suit most people.

I love coffee, but I am not one of those people that wants to make a whole performance over making a cup of coffee. I want to press a button and let the machine do the work. Caffitaly machines seem to be designed for people like me.

One of the features of Caffitaly coffee machines is that they are excellent value for money. That’s a big plus as far as I am concerned, as I am a great coffee lover with a small budget.

Quality of coffee

Of course, the most important thing is the coffee that a machine produces. You have to be honest here and accept that coffee is a very subjective thing. One person’s favorite may not appeal to the next person. With reusable pods and my Caffitaly machine, I can stick to my PERSONAL favorite coffee and if anyone else in the house has their favorite they can stick to that. Everybody is happy. Whichever coffee you load, the Caffitaly machines (in my experience) make the most of that blend and produce an excellent cup.

So now let’s take a look at my personal choice of Caffitaly machines and I will talk you through them.

Our Top Choices

With so many Caffitaly machines to choose from, we’ve tried to keep things simples. Here’s our picks for the best basic machine, the best complete system, and the best feature packed Caffitaly machines for you in 2021.

The BEST basic machine – Caffitaly System S24

This machine is a good all-around coffee machine. It is well built and reliable. I like the fact that the pods are much bigger than the Nespresso, so I can get a big and strong cup of coffee. It is a real workhorse that consistently produces a cup of coffee that is as good now as when I first bought the machine, which incidentally is not an expensive machine to buy. As for ease of use, it is just so simple to use. Just drop a pod into the machine, and press a button, and that is the kind of machine I like. The only thing I miss is that the machine does not feature a frother, but hey it’s a cheaper machine so I understand.

The BEST Complete system – Caffitaly System S23

This is a top-of-the-range machine and comes complete with a milk frother (unlike the S23). The milk frother is particularly powerful and makes coffee a bit too frothy for my taste, but hey, many people like very frothy coffee so do not let that sway you. It makes coffee pretty quickly, thanks to the 15 Bar pump pressure. The machine is pretty compact when you consider it includes the frother as well. The water tank capacity is 1 liter, which is enough for me. All told, it is a great machine and I can see many people falling in love with this model, but at roughly twice the price of the S24, is the coffee frother worth that much to you?

OTHER Machines to Consider – Caffitaly S22

This is the top-of-the-range model costing a little more than the S23. It is very similar to the S23 but the milk frother seems less violent and, in my opinion, makes a better cappuccino. This model also has a 1.3-liter water tank and is heavier. Apart from the better milk frother, I do not see the extra cost makes it worthwhile and the S23 seems better value.

Final Thought

So, there we have it. My personal selection of the top three Caffitaly coffee machines. All of these machines are worth buying and all will make great tasting coffee. They are all easy to use, and I am sure if you were to buy any one of them you would be happy.

I think the S22 is marginally poorer value than the S23 and S24, but as with any review, it is based on the individual.

What you really need to ask yourself is do you want just a basic coffee machine where you insert a pod, press a button, and here comes your coffee?

If frothing your milk is not an issue for you, then quite probably the S24 is all you will need.

For a machine that has a built-in frother and consequently more versatility then the S23 is a better option.
