Why You May Need To Factory Reset Your Nespresso Machine
The typical extraction time using the Espresso (small cup) button should be between 15-30 seconds and should produce around 40 ml of espresso coffee. If you find the extraction is taking longer than 30 seconds or shorter than 15 seconds, or you are getting a different volume of coffee than you are used to, you might have accidentally re-programmed the pour volume.
NOTE: This can happen if you push the button to start and then push it again to stop before it has completed its full pour cycle.

- Lift the machine head to eject the previous pod.
- Insert the capsule you want to program. If you’re not looking to program a new capsule, skip to step 3.
- Lower the head and leave the handle in the “UNLOCKED” position.
- Press the coffee button 5 times within 3 seconds.
- The button should blink orange 3 times and turn into a steady white light.

- Turn the VertuoPlus on and wait for the light to turn solid green (indicating the machine is ready)
- Hold the front paddle down for 3 seconds. The green light will begin to blink
- Next, hold down the top button and the front paddle for 5 seconds.
- The light will turn orange
- now, press the front paddle 5 times. The light will begin flashing orange
- Finally, press the top button once more. The light will flash green 3 times then turn solid green
- Your VertuoPlus machine has been reset and is ready to use.
